A song glistening in late summer moonlight. ‘Let The Night Take Me’ is an unashamedly romantic vision of love not yet shackled to gravity’s pull. The song inhabits a world of dreams in which the night gives refuge and a web to glide from star to star. Recorded on a farm in rural Pembrokeshire, stopping only for the milk machine, the band found time to venture into this world. ‘Let The Night Take Me’ is influenced by the shimmer of the Cocteau Twins, the melancholic pop of Tears for Fears on ‘Songs from the Big Chair’ and the bucolic lyricism of Nick Drake.
